We’re a dynamic small business in the food manufacturing sector with a passion for quality, culture, and community. As we grow, we’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented student to join our team for the summer and gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of business operations.
Position Summary:
The Operations Coordinator – Summer Intern will support our team in documenting internal processes, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), assisting with quality assurance activities, and helping with the rollout of a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. This is a unique opportunity to work on impactful projects while gaining exposure to a wide range of business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document internal processes and assist in creating and refining SOPs
- Support the implementation and rollout of a new ERP system
- Assist with quality assurance tasks as we establish new standards
- Provide administrative support to accounting, purchasing, and sales functions
- Act as a brand ambassador at select public events (some offsite work required)
- Participate in other business operations projects as assigned
- General office and administrative support as needed
- The intern will also support operations with production and packaging
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Business, Operations Management, Food Science, Food Safety & Quality or related field preferred)
- Fluency in Cantonese is required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible and eager to learn – comfortable taking on diverse tasks
- Reliable and punctual
- Access to a reliable vehicle strongly encouraged due to our industrial location
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools is an asset
- Interest or experience in ERP systems is a plus
- Extra bonus if you’ve worked in a restaurant or food production/preparation environment
